Established in 2006 and located in Durango, CO The Formless has quickly become a facet in the music scene of the four corners area. With a blended style of progressive, ambient rock the band’s sound invokes an array of emotions seeded with minor overtones and hypnotic melody. With entrancing guitar work backed by an intricate rhythm section and powerful vocal presence the bands style is comparable to bands like Tool, Deftones, and Incubus.

The bands members, Sean Brinley (vocals, guitar), Dusty Grannis (lead guitar, keyboard), James Reinhart (bass guitar), Justin Wilson (drums, percussion), have all been long time musicians. Each has been part of numerous musical projects. Some have had minor but never the less noted success. All have brought their own element to the band, coming from different backgrounds both musical and cultural. They have all found a unique, common ground on which to write their music.

7/19/11: The Formless is currently working on their second album

1/1/11: Fear Factory show moved back to April 19th. All Fear Factory US tour dates pushed back

"Management states “a family emergency in the band” as the reason for the sudden move to postpone the US dates.".

11/18/10: The Formless will be opening up for Fear Factory Jan 4th 2011 in Farmington, NM

6/19/10: After a short break The Formless will be playing in Colorado Springs @ The Black Sheep with our friends Inelements.
